I’m sure you’re thinking, what is that, a waterbed?!! I stumbled on the Chilipad mattress early in the pandemic after waking up in a firestorm multiple times a night. This device was the answer to my prayers. The ideal temp for sleep is between 60 & 69 degrees C, and cooler temps help you fall and stay asleep. As far as Chilipad models (made by a company called Sleep Me), you can buy a half a pad or a whole one so you can have your own, you and your partner can each have one, or you can buy one for the bed. The higher end models allow you to program a schedule with temps (you can sleep cold & wake up warm) & track your sleep, and the base model allows you to adjust manually until you power off. We have both models (one travels), they have stood the test of time, and Sleep Me has a great customer service dept if you need it. Maintenance is easy after you fill it up the first time, you drop in a cleaning solution every month or so and top off with distilled water as needed.
